Dana is a graduate of Capella University, with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In addition to her MS degree, she is a meditation facilitator and applies mindfulness and compassionate awareness to her clinical approach. She is energized by practicing within the Internal Family Systems framework and helps clients gain a deeper understanding of their distinct “parts” or subpersonalities that may hold trauma, negative emotions, or imbalanced belief systems that in turn affect their life and behaviors. Dana enjoys guiding her clients to discover their personal power and experience a deeper, more powerful relationship with themself, as they walk through their emotional wellness journey. Dana completed her internship at Hospice of the Chesapeake and has extensive training and experience in grief, sudden traumatic loss, and adolescent bereavement processing.

Dana’s therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative with a foundational belief that we are wired for healing and balance. Dana feels each client deserves an approach that is tailored to meet their unique therapeutic dilemma and to help bring alignment and healing. Dana incorporates mindfulness and somatic exercises to help clients with the following: trauma, depression, anxiety, emotional restrictions, life transitions, parent coaching, and stress management challenges.
